Dr. Richard Mowry is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who has been proudly serving the Chula Vista community for over 40 years. As the founder of Rancho Del Rey Oral and Facial Surgery Center, Dr. Mowry has built a trusted, patient-centered practice that reflects his long-standing dedication to surgical excellence and compassionate care. He is known for his ability to connect with patients and make them feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment. From the beginning of his career in 1988 to today, Dr. Mowry has remained committed to providing high-quality, personalized oral surgery care with a focus on safety, precision, and long-term wellness.
Education & Training
Dr. Mowry was born and raised in San Diego and received his BA in Biology at the University of California, San Diego. He received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) at Oral Roberts University, School of Dentistry. Dr. Mowry attended University Medical Center in Fresno, California for his residency certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He then went on to receive certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
