The Yomi® Robotic-Guided Dental Surgery System is a groundbreaking technology from Neocis, Inc. that represents a major advancement in oral surgery. Our team at Rancho Del Rey Oral & Facial Surgery Center is the first in San Diego to offer this innovative system, bringing patients the benefits of robotic-guided surgery that is already transforming implant dentistry nationwide. Our surgeons utilize Yomi® for dental implant placement and bone grafting, delivering enhanced accuracy, efficiency, and confidence for every procedure.

How Does the Yomi® Robotic System Work?

Yomi® begins with a digital workflow: the patient receives imaging (for example a CBCT scan and intraoral scan) and that data is used by Yomi®’s proprietary software, YomiPlan, to create a detailed surgical plan.

During surgery, the Yomi® robotic arm works interactively with the surgeon, offering real-time guidance and support. The system tracks the position of the surgical instruments in relation to the treatment plan and provides visual and audio cues to ensure every movement stays precisely on course. If adjustments are needed, Yomi® instantly updates to reflect those changes, maintaining consistent accuracy throughout the procedure.

What Are the Benefits of the Yomi® Robotic System?

At Rancho Del Rey Oral & Facial Surgery, offering Yomi® means our patients benefit from:

  • Greater precision. Yomi® assists our surgeons in navigating to the exact location, angle, and depth of the implant as planned.
  • Minimally invasive surgical experience. Because Yomi® allows for smaller incisions or flapless procedures in many cases, patients may experience less discomfort, faster healing, and fewer complications.
  • Efficiency and workflow improvements. With routine guided implant cases handled more efficiently, our practice can better coordinate care, reduce surgical time, and help you get back to your daily life sooner. The digital workflow and intra-operative adaptability mean fewer delays or the need for additional surgical guides.
  • Enhanced patient confidence. Knowing your surgeon is using Yomi® reinforces trust in your treatment plan. At our practice, this advanced technology is part of our commitment to delivering the best possible care.
  • Expanded treatment options. The accuracy and flexibility of Yomi® make it possible to place implants in challenging areas that might not have been ideal candidates with traditional techniques.
